Don't You See How Big I Am?

image: Duane Michals

Warped mirrors reflecting
me times three
shattering self-image
skewed
image—self, shattering
three times me,
reflecting mirrors warped.

Ahhh... dark, mysterious, sharp, with just a tinge of sadness.

I admire the voice you captured
here: frentic, confused.
well-written.

Oh Laurie, the palindrome is so cool, great form and content match up! Words reflecting like the mirror. So clever.

Clever palindrome use for the 'fun-house' mirror effect ... just the slightest bit creepy for all that, yes?

I don't know about a palindrome but this poem sure reads the same backward as forwards.....LOL

Great witty and introspective.
You're up there with Keats for me.

I really like the sound here: "shattering self-image skewed image"

Lovely reversal form; I could never do that.

I think all mirrors are warped - well certainly the ones I look in! Is that really me?

Excellent take!
